Vitamin B1 - Thiamine

Known as the "morale vitamin" because of the benefits it has on the nervous system and the mental attitude.

Food sources: asparagus, brewer’s yeast, brown rice and whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds, wheat germ, organ meats and soy foods.

Vitamin B2 - Riboflavin

Necessary for energy production and carbohydrate and fat metabolism. Helps prevent cataracts and corneal ulcers and generally benefits vision. Promotes healthy skin, especially in psoriasis cases. Helps prevent against drug toxicity.

Food sources: almonds, brewers yeast, broccoli, dark green leafy vegetables, eggs, wild rice, mushrooms, yogurt, organ meats and caviar.

Vitamin B3 - Niacin

Benefits include energy production, cholesterol metabolism, sex hormone synthesis and good digestion. Niacin is necessary for fat metabolism, helping to mobilize fat from adipose tissue so that it can be burned as energy. Helps prevent the build up of cholesterol in the arteries.

Vitamin B5 - Pantothenic Acid

An anti-oxidant vitamin vital to proper adrenal activity, pantothenic acid is a precursor to cortisone production and an aid to natural steroid synthesis. It is important in preventing arthritis and high cholesterol. It fights infections by building antibodies, and defends against stress, fatigue and nerve disorders. It is the key to overcoming postoperative shock and drug side effects after surgery. It also inhibits hair color loss.

Vitamin B6 - Pyridoxine

Key factor in red blood cell regeneration, amino acid/protein metabolism, and carbohydrate use. Primary immune stimulant and recent studies show that it has particular effects against liver cancer.
